KEEP TRYING WITH PATIENCE






3 years ago on this date , I posted this picture- out of frustration and disappointment as I couldn’t pass the exam for the 2nd time which was crucial for my journey as a doctor.


I had given all of my strength and efforts to that exam , studied day and night , spent those small free time between the ward rounds, tried to make time by waking up early in the morning when there was no sun out , stayed overnight when the whole world was sleeping around me, travelled kilometres to get the better knowledge and so as to improve my level of knowledge and competence , borrowed a lot of money to pay those fee- but after all... I faced failure - not the first time for the same exam..!!

At that moment..!!My brain did horrible things to me - it murmured to me as this is it -time to pack up , it highlighted those 2nd person words - that told me as am not good enough, it kept telling me — THIS IS IT, Forget it , you can’t be there.

But a small part of my brain, stood with my feelings, helped me to relieve the harshness through tears, told me to go for a walk , pushed me to take some time off and to talk the closest ones , told me to GET BACK ON TRACK and TRY AGAIN

“PATIENCE - SABR”

I am not saying I conquered HIMALAYA OR GREAT ROAM - absolutely NO, I didn’t do anything great but I have a better life now, I am in a better place now , I can help my family better now, I have those positive group around me now- it’s the best feeling when you meet those with same wave length and ready to take any hits and to stand strong.



Sometimes- sorry not sometimes , always believe in yourself , if you need something, irrespective of what and where you are from - YOU CAN MAKE IT with ENOUGH EFFORT AND PATIENCE

When a dead baby spoke

I always thought I had become more robust than a few years ago. While we run through med school, various moments and incidents push us to be stronger than a 1st-year medical student.  Every medico goes through various stages of challenges. It can start from dissecting a formalin stained cadaver, attending postmortems, assisting surgeries, wiping a road traffic crash patient, giving hands in childbirths, declaring dead etc.  Every doctor you see is naturally immune to emotions, not because we want to. Still, just like a policeman interrogating a criminal without any chance of mercy, our tear gland dried off long ago.  I thought I was also more vital to all sorts of emotions until an innocent baby’s face reactivated the waters in my eyes. He was born dead for some reason. He had no signs of life at birth, but…!!  He spoke to me with those frozen lips, he touched me through those never moved hands, he looked at me with that unopened eyes, he smiled at me with that still...

Holy Moments with the sex worker

      Years ago if you personally ask me “what was your lowest and saddest moment in life”, my reply might have been about how terrible I felt when I failed for the final year exam at meds school or About the pain and loneliness that I had when the closest one walked out of my life or about the demise of a close friend. But these days, if  you ask me the same question…!! The answer is completely different…!!    I would say - today, the Lowest point where life placed me was after an hour conversation with a beautiful LADY.     After that hour, I had to place myself for a lot of me-time, self therapeutic talks, focused conversations , music's , reading, movie time….!!!!
